* About the Artist

Hello,

My name is Gail Coupal.

I am a full-time professional glass artist. I have been fusing glass for eight years in my studio located in Poulsbo, Washington.

I love my chosen profession, spending many of my waking hours in the creative process. I derive my inspiration and images from nature. I walk daily in wooded areas and find quite a number of solutions to my work challenges from the beauty of our Earth.

I have a painting and printmaking background from the Maryland Institue College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. I received a BFA in the early 70's. My love of images, nature, color, and design are reflected in my current work.

I have a deep empathy for the animals of our world. I believe when we learn to live in harmony, and respect the creatures of our Earth, we will understand how to love each other.
